Welcome to the South
Lake Kaltern/Caldaro, the warmest swimming lake of the Alps, is roughly 4 kilometres from the village of Kaltern/Caldaro. Nestled in rolling wine hills, it is the Mediterranean biotope of South Tyrol.
Nature that has yet to meet its equal.
Biotopes, reed belts, swamps, migratory birds, frogs and so much more… this lake casts it spell over humans and animals alike.
If swimming and water sports take the floor in the summer months, in spring and autumn the lake area is an absolute paradise for racing cyclists and runners.
Idyllic, peaceful and nearby. After just a 10-minute drive, the wooded road opens out into a large clearing, and the large Montiggl/Monticolo Lake comes into view.
This leisure area boasts outstanding, variety-packed mountain bike trails, and countless small areas around the lake welcome you to stop off for a relaxing break. And best of all? There’s a second, smaller lake about 200 metres from the large one.
A 30 minute drive will take you to a small, pristine-clean lake that is particularly peaceful even at the height of the season. This is a spot where you can enjoy all the pleasure of absolute, utter remoteness.
E-Bike

Steep climbs, traffic-restricted villages and rough trails: You will find an abundance of these obstacles here, and an e-bike helps to get around them with ease.
